The "Nietzschean Middle" is Zupančič's name for Nietzsche's figure of the noon/midday — the "middle" (Mitte) that appears most prominently in Zarathustra's hour of "great noon" — reread through a Lacanian-structural lens. Crucially, this middle is not a synthesis, a compromise, or an Aristotelian golden mean.
